Year of a Million Dreams - Disney Resorts New, Exciting Promotion

First, I'm a huge Disney World fan, so when a Cast Member posted this press release online last night, I nearly shot through the roof with excitement. I was wondering what WDW and DL could possibly do to top their Happiest Celebration promotion, but I had no idea it would be this big and this exciting.

Beginning on October 1, 2006, cast members at the Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World in Florida will be granted the opportunity to make resort visitors' dreams come true with the "Year of a Million Dreams" promotion. From an overnight stay inside the famed Cinderella Castle to a Golden Fastpass, one million guests will be randomly chosen to receive some of these truly incredible "dreams."

As a lifelong Disney fan, the very idea of being able to stay overnight within the Magic Kingdom will be too much for some people to even consider, but I'm sure they will be willing to try. The selected guest will actually be staying in "Cinderella's Royal Bed Chamber" which is currently being constructed in the space that was to originally be an apartment for the Disney family before Walt's death.

Other dreams that Disney cast members will be giving away are:

* A stay at the all new Mickey Mouse Penthouse at the Disneyland Resort in California. * A traveling experience to each Disney resort around the world to serve as grand marshal in a Disney parade. * A variety of unique Disney vacation experiences. * Admission to special parties and other extraordinary experiences in the Disneyland and Walt Disney World parks. * Private meetings with favorite Disney characters. * Or, a Golden FASTPASS ticket with unique access entitlements to some of Disney's most popular attractions.

In addition to the prizes, both resorts will be adding the following new attractions:

At the Disneyland Resort in California, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage (this will take the place of the once popular 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attraction) and Rockin' Space Mountain, the same coaster, yet with a new soundtrack and new lighting and technology.

At the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, an attraction that will take place of the now defunct Living Seas attraction at Epcot. This attraction will allow visitors to embark on a journey in "clam-mobiles" in order to search for Nemo and help him return to his family; Finding Nemo - The Musical at Animal Kingdom, a musical involving the familiar characters of Disney-Pixar's Finding Nemo in a musical spectacular; The Laugh Floor Comedy Club at The Magic Kingdom where guests will be engaged in a new interactive adventure inspired by Disney-Pixar's Monsters, Inc.

Disney will also be premiering new entertainment and will introduce a "Dream Track" program that will allow guests to tailor their stay at any of the theme parks to their choice of their dream of being either a princess, a pirate, an adventurer, or a space explorer. Special online planning tools and in-park technology will allow guests to live out their fantasy as they visit the park.
