Ways to Make Disneyland Less Expensive

Planning a trip to Disneyland? Your children will love it. Your wallet, however, may be cringing already! Family travel can get expensive very quickly, especially when a theme park is involved. Here are some ways to make Disneyland a little less expensive. How to save money on tickets If you live in Anaheim, California, you won’t have much difficulty finding a discount on tickets to Disneyland. There are “Disneyland Good Neighbor” hotels that can legally sell tickets at a discounted price. If you live elsewhere, you can take advantage of the discounted tickets by booking a hotel stay in one … Continue reading

Disneyland has rolled out a special deal for the new year: savings of up to $30 per ticket.  From now through February 27, 3-Day park hopper tickets are on discount.  The offer applies for visits between now and March 11, and means that you can get the above tickets for $220 (per ticket), or $205 for kids aged 3-9. Summer Disney World Deals

It may only just be April, and around here at least our weather finally started feeling spring-like again after some unseasonably warm temperatures, but it’s time to start thinking about summer. At least, it’s time to focus on summer if you’re thinking about planning a Walt Disney World trip for your upcoming vacation. The special offers on Disneyland’s website still pertain to their spring deals, but Disney World has started looking ahead to the warmer months. Today I’ll focus exclusively on the Disney World deals, and I’ll return to Disneyland in the future when their special offers site is updated. … Continue reading

Fall Special Offers

With a new season comes a new batch of special offers at the Disney parks. Disney World is surprisingly light on new deals this quarter, so let’s take a look at it first. The main deal being pushed by Disney World right now is a free dining plan. Guests who purchase a non-discounted Magic Your Way room and ticket package at certain Disney World hotels get either a free dining plan or a free quick-service dining plan. The difference depends on the hotel; the bigger dining plan comes with the nicer (moderate, deluxe, or deluxe villa) hotels and the quick-service … Continue reading

My Yard Goes Disney

Many of my friends are addicted to Home and Garden Television, or HG-TV. I don’t know if any of them are Disney fans, and that’s a shame. Disney website Stitch Kingdom reveals that beginning on June 6, HG-TV will air the new show “My Yard Goes Disney.” For the show Orlando-area families can sign up in hopes to win an outdoor makeover for their home by Disney designers. Yard decor will be inspired by Walt Disney World and the theme of “family memories.” That last bit clicked in my mind. It wouldn’t be too difficult to extrapolate why Disney might … Continue reading

Spring Special Offers at Disney

Now that we’re firmly into spring, it’s time for the latest round of special offers at the Disney parks. Today I’ll focus on the two domestic parks. To change it up a little bit, I’ll lead with the Disneyland deals. Like usual, there are discounted rates for Disneyland resort hotels available if tickets are booked by a certain date. This time, if you make a reservation for a Disneyland stay by May 28, you’ll enjoy a cheaper stay at any one of the three Disneyland resort hotels: the Paradise Pier, Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, or the Disneyland Hotel. Prices … Continue reading

Special Offers for the New Year

With a new year comes a new crop of Disney Parks Special Offers. First let’s look at the deals for Disney World. As always, one of the primary deals involves booking your Disney World vacation early. This time around, you can accrue 30% savings for a spring Orlando vacation if you make your reservations by February 13. Of course, not all of the savings go as high as 30%. Rooms at Disney Deluxe Villa Resort Hotels booked by Feb. 13 net guests a 30% discount. The less fancy of a hotel you choose to stay at the smaller the deal … Continue reading

Disney Cruises Update

Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island and one of your destinations on cruises with the Dream Exactly one year ago I first introduced you to the Disney Dream, Disney’s newest state-of-the-art cruise ship. With the Dream scheduled to make its maiden voyage at the end of January, many new details about the ship have been announced in anticipation of this event. Poking around on the official website for the Dream reveals much of that information. The Dream includes two theaters, the Buena Vista and the Walt Disney, which are a cinema and live performance theater, respectively. The Buena Vista screens first-run … Continue reading

Adventures by Disney: The A’s

I talk so much about the Disney parks around here, especially the domestic ones, that it might appear those are the only Disney vacations available. However, there are many other Disney vacation options out there, and today I’m starting a recurring column on one of the largest: Adventures by Disney. Adventures by Disney consists of a series of guided tours along various locations in the world. You pay a lot more than you probably would just planning a trip on your own, unless you’re going all out, but for your money you receive a one-of-a-kind experience. Adventures by Disney provides … Continue reading
