Disney Bans Smoking in Disney Hotels

If I ever needed another excuse to stop smoking, then Walt Disney World hotels have just announced one. Beginning June 1, all Disney owned hotels will be banning smoking in their rooms and on their balconies. Disney-owned time-shares will also be banning the smoking of cigars or cigarettes. The hotels and time-share properties will provide designated smoking areas away from the rooms and balconies. This ban will make Disney the single largest resort company to take such a step. Disney World needs to clean up its act, or at least that’s what the Center for Health, Environment and Justice believes. They have launched a campaign to persuade Disney to change the type of cleaning products they use. The goal of the campaign is to encourage Disney to use their mega-watt image as a tourism industry leader and make them an environmentally responsible one. Certified Green Cleaning Products Disney uses non-toxic cleaners at the Animal Kingdom in order to protect the animals, but they do not use similar products at the rest of their parks. New Time Shares Coming to the Animal Kingdom

Do you enjoy vacationing regularly at Disney World? Well, you’re in luck there is a plan in the works for 458 time-share units to be opened at the Animal Kingdom. This is the sixth such time share type of property to open in the Disney World area and will include some new construction and renovated accommodations at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and will feature the African details popular at the lodge as well as views of the Savannah.
