More Magical Secrets: Frontierland and Adventureland

Looking for more fun hidden and overlooked magical touches in the Magic Kingdom? That's what I am here for.

In Frontierland, there aren't a ton of attractions, but there's lots of fun! The raft ride to Tom Sawyer Island isn't just for looks, or for atmosphere. There's lots of stuff to DO once you get to the other side! Tom Sawyer Island is where Fort Langhorne is located. This is a play area for kids, so the kids can blow off some steam! If you feel adventurous, try to find one of the paintbrushes that Tom and Huck left behind! If you find one of these, take it to a Cast Member, and you might get a nifty prize!

In Adventureland, don't walk right past the Tiki God statues! If you listen carefully, you will hear drums, and if you aren't careful, the angry gods will spit at you! I still remember these Tikis from my first trip to the Magic Kingdom, in 1985. I thought they were so much fun! You can also spot lots of Hidden Mickeys here! There are about a dozen just in the Pirates of the Caribbean!

In Mickey's Toontown Fair, there are lots of secrets. At first glance, Minnie's house is kind of boring right? Well look more closely! If you turn the microwave on, it will pop a bowl of popcorn. If you turn the stove dials, the coffee pot will perk and the utensils will dance to music! Want to eavesdrop a little? You can check Minnie's answering machine messages!

Last but not least, Liberty Square. Perhaps I am the odd ball Disney fanatic. Liberty Square is my favorite "land" at the Magic Kingdom! First, there's my favorite ride of course, the Haunted Mansion, but that's not all! There's the Hall of Presidents, which is a great attraction, but on the porch, you will see two old rocking chairs. Try them, they are comfy! This is a great way to relax and people watch with some snacks from Sleepy Hollow!
