A Beastly Glimpse Inside Disney’s Enchanted Forest

Beast’s Castle, still under construction The official Disney Parks blog has posted a ton of videos lately about the Enchanted Forest section of the new Fantasyland expansion. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Debuts This Month

I said I would bring you more information on Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom when I had it, and now I do and am. The game will open at the Magic Kingdom in late February, and because that’s only few weeks away, more and more and more details are emerging. Tickets for two Magic Kingdom holiday events, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, are now available. This information comes via the official Disney Parks blog. Pricing and date information for both events are up at the official post. What’s funny about that, however, is that the article doesn’t contain any links to follow or phone numbers to call to actually book the tickets. FASTPASS to Meet Mickey Mouse

If you head down to Disney World during tourist season, you’re bound to spend a significant portion of your vacation waiting in lines. In recognition of this problem Disney has introduced a couple different solutions: queue-less waiting systems currently being tested at the Hollywood Studios and soon to come to the Magic Kingdom with the Fantasyland expansion, and the more pervasive FASTPASS. While some of us are still shivering in the cold, being blown about by frosty winds, or sighing glumly at the piles of snow in our yard, spring is in full swing in Orlando. Disney Jr. – Live on Stage!

It’s certainly a time of change at Disney, and last week the latest took place: the switch from Playhouse Disney to Disney Jr. Thanks to Michele for pointing it out to me; I wasn’t sure if Disney Jr. was indeed the replacement for Playhouse Disney, or just an additional feature. Despite discussing it, we’re not really sure of the motivation for the name change. The most likely candidate is that Disney’s trying to compete with Nick Jr., but having names so similar seems like it will just cause more confusion than competition.
