Let's Go Cruising - Disney Cruising!

I don't know about you, but one of the things I'd love to do is take a cruise. Somehow the 24 hour ferry - even with it's nice sea-view porthole and private bathroom - doesn't quite cut it. I want the real thing. The whole enchilada! To get up in the morning knowing that all of my needs for the day will be taken care of by someone else - no stressing out about whether there's something in the freezer for dinner or even thinking about the washing up. Everything will be taken care of, leaving me to just enjoy life. Perhaps even with a craft theme! What a dream!

Now add a dose of Disney to this picture and that means I can relax knowing that my kids will also have plenty to do, and I'll be in 7th Heaven (it was a place before the TV show y'know!). The Disney Cruise Line recently announced that they are expanding their fleet with two new ships being commissioned with provisional launch dates of 2011 and 2012 - it seems a long way off, but hey by then I might be able to afford to sail on one of them! It could even be a second honeymoon!

I was taking a look at the Disney Cruise website, and found another dilemma I'll have once I save the money for this fabulous cruising holiday - which cruise should we take? There are a number of options and they all sound fantastic, you can even sail around the Mediterranean, which is much closer to home for us - but maybe too close! The 14 night transatlantic cruise is very tempting, except I'm a "Titanic" buff and perhaps trip may not be as mentally relaxing as I'd like! LOL I think that a cruise around the Caribbean is what we'll book one of these days. A chance to visit these exotic beautiful islands and cultures, whilst living in a floating House of Mouse sounds perfect!

Disney had a dream, and it came to be. My dream of a Disney cruise will also be realized, but it's just going to take a bit of time to get there!
