The Walt Disney World Dolphin resort goes through a lot of coffee. Every day, they leave packets of coffee in each guest room and, with all the visitors they have, that adds up to a pretty big hill of beans!

Since they recently changed coffee supply companies, they've decided to get rid of the surplus coffee they had from their initial supplier and who better to give it to than United States' troops serving overseas? Well, that's what I think and apparently what somebody in charge at the Dolphin thought too. Thanks to the Wesley Chapel nonprofit group "Support Our Troops", the Walt Disney World Dolphin is donating two tons of coffee to

The Support Our Troops organization sends packages to overseas American military personnel nearly every week. (They also receive sporadic donations of coffee from Starbucks for those of you wanting to support businesses that support our troops!)

As it happens, the Walt Disney World Dolphin recently changed suppliers for the complimentary toiletries they leave in each guest room and donated $8,000 worth of those toiletries to Support Our Troops. As a veteran and the wife of a military man, I'm liking how the folks at the Dolphin think!)

I'm also pretty impressed with this fellow, Bob Williams, who oversees the whole Support Our Troops project. This Vietnam veteran has really been putting a lot of himself and his finances into the effort. If you'd like to learn more about Bob and the Support Our Troops program, please check out the following links or call him at: (813) 991-9400.

Supporting the Troops

So, support our troops by buying yourself a cup of Joe at Starbucks on your way down to Walt Disney World for a good long stay at the Dolphin. Send any money you save by traveling on the off season to Bob Williams for postage.
