I expect a lot of things from Disney, but science isn’t one of them. Well, I should amend that statement. Disney’s known for innovation in artistic fields, and sometimes that bleeds into the sciences with the architectural and other advances made by the Imagineers or at Pixar/the Animation Studio. Bus Crashes at Disney World

I haven’t addressed the constant crashes at Disney parks because I figured that these things happen. I didn’t want to contribute to alarmism, and I thought I’d wait and see how Disney addressed the problem. But the crashes keep happening, so I’m wondering what’s going on. It’s really getting inexcusable. Three accidents within less than three weeks. Several people have been injured, and in one horrible incident, a nine-year-old boy was killed. What would it be like to visit an amusement park with no lines for rides? That’s exactly the question Disney Imagineers are tackling. Orlando Attractions Magazine reports that Disney’s testing and preparations to introduce a new queue-less waiting system for their parks. Soon to be a thing of the past? Steve Fossett Declared Dead

It is a sad ending to a man that everyone initially felt would beat the odds. In case you don’t remember, millionaire adventurer Steve Fossett was on a solo flight over the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in his single engine plane on September 3, 2007, but he never returned. After he was three hours late, rescuers and volunteers started a search for the 63-year-old Fossett. Unfortunately, the area that Fossett was over is twice the size of New Jersey.
