Bug Bloopers

When watching movies I love waiting until the end to see if they include a blooper strip whilst the credits roll. One of my all-time favorite movies is “Smokey and the Bandit” with Burt Reynolds and Jerry Reid. The blooper strip on this – and the sequel – are hilarious! On days when I’m feeling down these can make me laugh and raise my spirits again. Jerry Reed Dead at 71

This just confirms that I am actually older than I feel. I remember going to the theater with my parents in the ‘70s to see Jerry Reed star alongside Burt Reynolds and Sally Field in Smokey and the Bandit. I read that Jerry died last Monday due to complications from emphysema. Jerry was somewhat of a good ole boy Renaissance man in the ‘70s. He was a singer, guitarist, songwriter, and actor, but he did it the hard way. Last night, I was watching Smokey and the Bandit. I know it is dated, corny, and politically incorrect, but I remember my parents taking me to the theater to see this 1977 hit movie and I love it to this day. Usually when we here someone mention “those three little words” we think of the words “I love you.” It is of course a beautiful sentiment that most people like to hear it often.
